Tapochki
I've committed myself to creating a proper, old-world tapochki collection for mine and my husband's new, half-Russian household. To that end, I began with the simplest of all slipper patterns (the one where you just make a rectangle the length of your foot in garter stitch, then sew up the heal and over the top of toe). I sewed leather slipper bottoms on one pair. But I used Lion Brand Thick-N-Quick wool blend, and the pilling drives me nuts, so I can't say I'm altogether satisfied with the results.
