Not long ago, for a break, I whipped up a version of the coif from knitty.com in orange wool (a Norwegian brand, I forget which at the moment). Fantastic pattern, and fantastic garment. I plan to make the next one in super-soft cashmere. UPDATE: While in Moscow I made another one in super-soft black alpaca. Gorgeous! Of course it quickly got much too cold for such light headgear and I had to cave and and buy a fur hat like eveyrbody else, just to survive
