I just passed my dissertation defense - with distinction! It was great - way better than I even let myself hope, I feel great, everything is great, I'm going off to drink champagne. More soon!!
OMGOMGOMG! Congrats Congrats Congrats! For some reason this makes me feel a bit better about my own PhD I'm starting next week. If one knitter can do it, so can I :)
I have some Growers in the fridge; it's not champagne, but it's fizzy and yellow. As soon as I get back from my 1:30 meeting, I will drink to you! Congratulations again!
Now go think about nothing at all for a few hours and bask in the title :) When a friend of mine got her degree she insisted that her husband call her "Dr. Honey."

Congratulations, we have all suffered with you, reading about your trials and tribulations with your advisor, etc. How wonderful that it's over and now you can knit, knit, knit!
I remember when my dad completed his PhD - we had chocolate to celebrate (A huge deal in our family where both parents were students and there was no money for extras)
I love getting email and comments...but I'm terrible about writing back! Please don't take it personally - but I do read and appreciate everything that comes, I swear!
